After the birth of my first child, I gradually forgot what I looked like during pregnancy. All attention was devoted to the new family, everyday life and the recovery process. It was only later that I realized how special this stage of life really was - the time when my body created and carried life. We have pregnancy photos, but they are mostly kept in albums that we don't open everyday. This sculpture has become a beautiful and delicate reminder of this special time. Every time I look at it, it brings back warm memories and a sense of our shared journey to parenthood.
